NWT Literacy Week underway

This week is Literacy Week in the NWT.

The theme for 2017 is Physical Literacy: Life in Motion. Learn how physical literacy can translate into a long, healthy life by attending the events being held this week.

Today, there will be a Brown Bag Lunch Talk, hosted by Jessica VanOverbeek. Learn what physical literacy is and why it’s important. That’ll be from 12-1 pm at the Champagne Room.

On Wednesday, there will be a free book giveaway at the Yellowknife Post Office. Books on the Street will be held from 12-1 pm.

On Friday night, Family Physical Literacy Fun Night will be held at the Fieldhouse. Food drinks, games, and prizes will be had for the whole family. That will run from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Take some time this week to learn about how physical activity can benefit your life.
