Battle of Britain ceremony to recognize the RCAF

The 77th annual Battle of Britain ceremony will be held in Downtown Yellowknife this weekend.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164 and the 825 Elks Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron will be represented in a parade. The ceremony will take place in front of the cenotaph on 49th Avenue.

The commemoration will honour fallen airmen who fought during the battle. It also recognizes those who have served in the Royal Canadian Air Force.

The ceremony begins at 1 on Sunday.
