Fort Good Hope man facing assault charges

A Fort Good Hope man is set to appear in court for assault charges.

RCMP received a call last Thursday for an alleged assault. Officers attended the scene and found an injured man and woman. Both victims were transported to the Health Centre and then medevaced to Yellowknife for treatment.

Police were able to locate and arrest the suspect shortly after attending the scene. The 18-year old Good Fort Hope man is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault,  and one count of Uttering Threats.

The suspect’s first court appearance is scheduled for today in Yellowknife.
