Yellowknife Public Library introduces digital magazine platform

Today is International Literacy Day and the theme is literacy in a digital world.

The Yellowknife Public Library is celebrating by launching a new program called Flipster.

“Flipster is our newest digital resource”, says Megan Clark, Public Services Librarian. “It’s a platform that allows library patrons to download magazines from anywhere they are, basically in the world as long as they have an internet connection and a library card. We purchase magazines to go in the platform. They can download an app and they can access it straight from our library webpage. Anytime day or night, used magazines complements of our local public library.”
