Yellowknife group holding Candlelight vigil for Charlottesville violence

Standing up to hate in the North.

An organization called Stand Up to Racism Yellowknife is holding a candlelight vigil in the aftermath of the violence in Charlottesville.

According to a statement provided by the group, Stand Up to Racism is looking to speak out against far-right groups in Canada and the United States.

The candlelight vigil will be held at the Somba K’e Civic Plaza on Thursday August 31st from 7 to 9pm.
