Bear sighting makes for an anxious morning drive

Earlier this morning, a listener called CJCD reporting a bear sighting near Jackfish Lake at the by-pass of Mackenzie Highway and Ingraham Trail.

A second listener to the station called in to report them seeing the bear head back into the bushes at Fred Henne Territorial Park.

We contacted the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. They are keeping the reports under watch in case the bear heads into the city.

CJCD would like to remind everyone to be smart. Don’t go near bears. They are bears.

Thanks.
