Yellowknife firefighters battled a house fire at 9 Glick Court in the Range Lake area on Friday morning.

Reports of the fire surfaced shortly before 8:30am. Two fire trucks and other emergency vehicles attended the scene.

No injuries were reported but firefighters were pessimistic about their ability to save the house.

The homeowners have been identified locally as Axel and Courtney Jung. Yellowknife resident Corol Sundberg has created a fund to support the couple.
