One boater wanted after multiple Tulita liquor seizures

The identity of one boater is leaving Tulita RCMP scratching their heads.

Three separate liquor busts in one day saw three Tulita men facing liquor charges and another wanted by police.

On Friday, July 21st, RCMP found 52 bottles of liquor.

Two men were arrested and charged with liquor offences. Their court date is August 31st.

Later that day RCMP observed a boat being operated suspiciously in the waters near Tulita.

Police watched the boat enter an area often used by bootleggers to unload liquor and went to investigate.

Upon searching the area police located 12 cans of beer, 9 bottles of liquor on the shore.

Police were unable to intercept the boat and the investigation into the boaters identity is ongoing.

Also on Friday, A male and female were travelling via boat to Tulita with a large quantity of liquor.

Police discovered 15 – cans of beer and 24 bottles of liquor. Police charged the male with liquor offences and his first court date is August 31st, 2017 in Tulita.
