Five Sahtu residents face unrelated liquor charges

Four seperate liquor seizeres kept RCMP busy this week in fort Good Hope.

The first seizure occurred on July 13th, where police intercepted 68 mickies at the Fort good hope airport.

On July 17th, police located 7 – 40 oz bottles of liquor, 2 loaded firearms, and cash.

Two days later, police seized 40 liters of what appears to be home brewed alcohol from a local residence in Fort Good Hope.

On July 20th, one female was caught illegally transporting 8 – 26oz bottles of liquor from Norman Wells.

A total of 5 Sahtu residents are facing charges on these unrelated cases.
