On Tuesday, Deline RCMP were able to intercept booze and marijuana from a chartered flight.
Police officials began an investigation into illegal liquor being brought into the dry community. Information was given that an incoming flight was carrying liquor and illegal drugs. The plane was intercepted at the airport and a search was conducted. Police were able to seize:
- 16 – 375 ml bottles of Vodka
- 4 cans of coolers
- 2 bottles of wine
- 12 – 355 ml water bottles that were repackaged after being emptied and filled with vodka
- 2 ounces (56 grams) of marijuana
Deline RCMP released all the passengers after seizing the liquor and drugs and are continuing their investigation.
