47th Dene National Assembly in Hay River next week

The Dene National Assembly is heading to Hay River for the first time in 11 years.

The 47th Dene National Assembly is being hosted by the Katlodeeche First Nation from Monday, July 17th to Friday, July 21st.

Nine grand chiefs will speak on behalf of their communities to bring their concerns to the table.

Hot topics to be discussed include the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women’s Inquiry and outdated funding arrangements between First Nations and the Federal Government.

Moose FM will be live on location in Hay River for the Dene National Assembly.
