Louis Sebert, the Minister Responsible for the Northwest Territories Power Corporation, has appointed a new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Jay K. Grewal is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. She served as the former Senior Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development/Stakeholder Affairs, with Capstone Mining Corp.
Sebert believes that Grewal will be a valuable addition to the Power Corporation, thanks to her considerable experience:
“NTPC plays an important role in our communities and we are looking forward to Ms. Grewal providing the leadership and strategic planning that will move both the Corporation and Government mandates forward.”
He added that the future of the company is looking bright (that pun is very much intended, you’re welcome):
“This is an opportunity for NTPC to plan and prepare for the future of power generation, transmission and distribution in the Northwest Territories.”
The move was effective as of yesterday (June 26th, 2017).
