Man facing charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement

One man is charged after Yellowknife RCMP responded to a case of confinement and sexual assault.

Police received the complaint on June 18th. The date and area of the incident is not being released to protect the victim.

Peter Tsetta, 48, has a history of these charges.

Despite Tsetta’s history, Northwest Territories RCMP Media Relations, Marie York-Condon says there is no immediate threat.

While there is no immediate threat to the public, these are serious allegations and we want the public to be aware of the incident.

Tsetta has appeared in court and remains in custody.
