Drug bust in Behchoko

Two men are under arrest for drug related charges.

A third man is wanted by RCMP.

RCMP executed search warrants for three Behchoko homes and a vehicle. This investigation and arrests show that drug trafficking, and the social-ills that accompany it, can be prevalent in any community. The local Detachment members did a great job of dismantling this trafficking network. Drugs destroy communities, and we are committed to taking them off the streets in our communities

Keith Washie, 29, is charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Sonny Simpson, 30, is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
