Open houses being held in the NWT to make a more open GNWT

The minister responsible for public engagement and transparency is travelling across the Northwest Territories this week to hear how the territorial government can become more open.

Minister Louis Sebert will travel to four different communities this week to hear from residents about developing an open government policy.

He’ll make stops in Norman Wells, Inuvik, Tuktoyaktuk and Fort McPherson between Monday and Thursday after hosting similar town hall meetings in Fort Smith, Hay River and Fort Providence.

This week’s open house schedule:

  • Normal Wells, Heritage Hotel Boardroom – March 27, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
  • Inuvik, Permafrost Boardroom, Mackenzie Hotel – March 28, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
  • Tuktoyaktuk, Mangilaluk School Gym – March 29, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Fort McPherson, Council Chambers  – March 30, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Meetings are also being planned for Behchoko, Fort Simpson, Fort Liard, Fort Resolution and Yellowknife.
