Initial acts for 2017 Folk on the Rocks music festival unveiled

At least two Juno award winners will be coming to Yellowknife to perform at this year’s Folk on the Rocks music festival.

Organizers announced on Friday that multi-platinum artist City and Colour (solo show) and Canadian hip-hop artist Shad will perform during the 37th annual festival.

Other performers confirmed late last week include:

This year’s festival will take place on the weekend of Jul. 14 along the shores of Long Lake.

Organizers say additional artists will be announced on social media in the weeks to come.
