Police say a hunter who was reported missing north of Yellowknife earlier this week has been found dead.

46-year-old Antoine Betsidea of Behchoko was hunting on the Tibbitt to Contowoyto winter road, approximately 350 kilometres north of Yellowknife, when he became separated from his group.

He was last seen around 3:00 p.m. Sunday on a snowmobile.
