“On certain snowmobiles, the use of certain fuel blends and/or after-market fuel additives could affect the fuel tank plastic and allow the fuel pump mounting flange to develop a crack, potentially causing a fuel leak,” read a Transport Canada notice.

According to the notice, Arctic Cat 2007, 2008 and 2009 models have been affected by the issue. Anyone with those models is asked to contact their dealers for an inspection and repairs.

Transport Canada advises owners not to operate their snowmobiles until the defect is fixed.
