A celebration of life will be held for Ava Lizotte in Yellowknife Saturday afternoon.

Last month, the 11-year-old Yellowknife girl passed away in an Edmonton hospital after contracting a rare blood infection.
Her life will be celebrated in the gym at Sir John Franklin High School starting at 2 p.m., followed by a reception in the school foyer.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the YWCA Girl Space Program.
