A Yellowknife man is facing multiple charges in connection with a break and enter in the city’s downtown area.
Police responded to a call for service last Wednesday night, when they say a suspect entered a residence near 52 Avenue and 54 Street.
Lloyd Thrasher, 29, was later arrested and charged with two counts of breaking and entering. But during his arrest, police say a struggle ensued and Thrasher started uttering threats.
He’s now facing a range of other charges, including obstruction, uttering threats, breaching a probation order and four counts of breaching a recognizance.
He was scheduled to make a court appearance in Yellowknife Wednesday.
Thrasher is well known to police, having been convicted of stabbing a pet dog to death in the city over five years ago.
