‘Suspicious death’ over the holidays prompts investigation

RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a man in Deline, approximately 544 km northwest of Yellowknife.

Late Friday night, Deline police responded to a call for service where they discovered a person dead. Shortly after the discovery, they located and arrested an adult person.

An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing, and RCMP say they are not seeking any other suspects.

“Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation no additional information will be released at this time,” said Cst. Robert Frizzell with Tuktoyaktuk RCMP in an email.
