Man arrested and charged over Hay River robbery

A man has been arrested and charged over a robbery in Hay River.

On Tuesday, RCMP arrested 24-year-old Shane Beck, of Hay River, in connection with a robbery that took place the previous week.

The arrest followed a report that a man had been struck while out walking in the town, and some of his personal possessions had been stolen.

Police have charged Beck with robbery and breach of court-ordered conditions.

He is being held in custody and will appear in Territorial Court in Yellowknife.
