Police seek Yellowknife driver involved in hit-and-run

Yellowknife RCMP say they need help identifying a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run last Friday night.

At approximately 5:20 p.m., police responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on 52 Avenue.

Upon arrival, one driver was found with injuries while the other had already fled the scene.

RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for a dark coloured four-door car with recent damage to the front passenger side.

“The RCMP would like to speak with the driver of the vehicle that was involved in the motor vehicle collision,” said police spokesperson Marie York-Condon.

“If you notice recent damage to the front passenger side of a dark coloured four-door car, please call into the Yellowknife RCMP with information.”

It’s believed that the driver was a ‘non-Caucasian’ female. Police continue to investigate.
