Behchoko RCMP investigate mischief at local motel

Yellowknife, NWT – Behchoko RCMP and the Forensic Identification Section are investigating a bizarre squatting incident that took place at the Tli Cho Motel in that community.

Police say they responded to a call Sunday morning after an unknown number of people broke into six unoccupied rooms and damaged property.

The Mounties say multiple fire extinguishers were discharged and six TV’s were stolen.

There was also evidence of heavy drinking.

Police are asking anyone with information on this incident to come forward.
