There was a break-in at the Department of National Defence compound in Inuvik last Friday.

Between 3 and 4 a.m. on Oct. 7, an unidentified person entered the compound without authorization and drove off with a truck. But police say the suspect returned a short time later and put the vehicle back.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., Inuvik RCMP received a call concerning suspicious activity that had taken place at the government building located at the Inuvik Airport.

Police say there was little damage to the vehicle or compound, and that nothing else was taken from the building.
