The territory’s MLAs are back in session for the next three weeks starting Thursday.
The fall session – which runs until Nov. 3 – will mark the first time members have convened since late June.

On the agenda is the proposed budget for buildings, roads and other infrastructure. A report on government transparency is also expected.
As a top priority, MLAs will decide what to do with tens of millions of dollars while mega-projects like Yellowknife’s new hospital and the Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk highway are well underway.
At the same time, cabinet is looking for support to establish a revolving fund for the Yellowknife Airport as part of ongoing plans to make the facility self-sustaining.
Should the fund be approved, transportation officials hope to start charging an airport improvement fee and increase other user fees as early as next February.
All revenues generated from the airport would then be reinvested in the building to give it more of a commercial presence.
