Tuesday’s walk will start outside the N’Dilo gym at 11:30 a.m. and end at the Northern United Place where there will be guest speakers, informal presentations, a hot lunch and a vigil.

People are asked to meet outside the gym at 11:15 a.m. ahead of the walk.

According to the Native Women’s Association of Canada, more than 100 communities will host similar events Tuesday.

Sisters in Spirit marches and vigils first began in 2006.
