A Hay River man was airlifted to an Edmonton hospital after flipping off the road and becoming trapped in his vehicle Saturday.
Hay River RCMP responded to a call of a single vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 2 where they discovered the man seriously injured and trapped inside his car.
Police say he was the only one inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Firefighters were able to free the man and transport him to the Hay River Hospital before he was medevaced to an Edmonton hospital for treatment.
The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time. RCMP are still investigating the cause of the collision.
