Free no more: city announces parking passes for 50/50 lot

Starting September 12, it’ll cost you to park at the corner of 50 Street and 50 Avenue after the city announced it will require monthly parking passes.

The passes will be available for $125 at city hall starting Wednesday, September 7 on a first-come, first-served basis.

“The lot will be still available for special events,” read a city press release. “Residents who purchase a parking pass will be permitted to park at any downtown parking meter for the duration that the 50/50 lot is being used for a special event.”

Parking signs indicating the change are expected to be installed before September 12.
