Firearms stolen in Hay River recovered during traffic stop

Charges are pending after a number of stolen firearms were seized by High Level RCMP during a traffic stop over the long weekend.

The traffic stop was conducted on Sunday as part of an unrelated matter.

During that incident, RCMP say an unknown amount of people broke into the store and stole five firearms – one of which remains missing.

Charges are pending against three adults as police continue to investigate.
