First Air, Canadian North change schedule for Northern route

Codeshare partners First Air and Canadian North have announced changes to their Yellowknife-Rankin Inlet-Iqaluit flight schedule.

Starting August 15, the schedule is reverting back to its original form.

That means flights between those destinations will soon operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday as opposed to Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

First Air will operate the Wednesday and Friday flights and Canadian North will move its current Thursday operation to Monday.

The revised flight schedule – developed in response to customer and stakeholder input – is designed to better align with the needs of leisure, corporate and group travel customers.

“Throughout the first year of codesharing, we’ve always said that we take customer feedback very serious,” said Bert van der Stege, First Air’s vice-president of commercial.

“As long as desired changes to our network can be implemented economically, we’re always keen on making improvements to better serve our customers.”GRAPH1
