RCMP rescue suspect who fled to parkade ledge in Yellowknife

Yellowknife RCMP brought a suspect in distress to safety after they fled onto a second-level ledge at a downtown parkade Friday.

Police say they responded to a report of a disturbance near the intersection of 50 Street and 51 Avenue around 12:45pm.

After officers located a male suspect in the parkade, the suspect fled to the second level where they became lodged on a ledge at the side of the building.

RCMP say the man was ‘in some distress’ before he was brought to safety unharmed. Police continue to investigate.
