A man was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Yellowknife Thursday night.
At approximately 7:15pm, police say a male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of 50 Street and 51 Avenue.
First responders attended the scene and transported the injured man to Stanton Hospital for treatment.
Following an investigation, a male driver was arrested and is now facing charges. The man was released but is expected to make a court appearance at a later date as police continue to investigate.
