A Yellowknife business is severely damaged after a fire broke out late Sunday night.
Around 10:00pm, flames could be seen pouring out of Fitzgerald Carpeting at 304 Woolgar Avenue, just off Range Lake Road.
As firefighters worked on the fire, a larger area was cordoned off by police.
The City of Yellowknife later sent out a tweet asking residents to avoid the area as much as possible.
We’re expecting to hear more from city officials later Monday. The fire continued to burn into the following morning.
