A cabin on Prelude Lake – roughly 35 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife – was consumed by a fire Wednesday night.
Firefighters were called to 6 Prelude Lake East shortly before 5:15pm but the structure had already collapsed by the time they arrived.
A total of 10 firefighters and three vehicles made their way up the Ingraham Trail and extinguished what remained of the fire using a combination of water and foam.
The City of Yellowknife says the incident ‘concluded without injury to firefighters or the general public.’
The territory’s fire marshal is now investigating what caused the fire.
