Suspect on the loose following apparent stabbing in Yellowknife

Police in Yellowknife are investigating a possible stabbing that happened early Thursday morning.

Around 3:30am, officers were called to a home in the city where they found a man suffering from an apparent knife wound.

The victim was transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital but a suspect who is known to him remains on the loose.

Police are now looking for an aboriginal man in his mid-20s known only as Nick.

He’s described as having a thin build with two black eyes and a gash across his nose, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with a green T-shirt and baggy jeans.
