Snow plow goes through the ice on Yellowknife Bay

A section of Yellowknife Bay has been cordoned off south of Jolliffe Island after a snow-removal truck went through the ice Sunday.

The incident happened around midday, and the Aurora Telecoms Services truck remained half-submerged late into the evening.

There’s still no official word on how it happened or if anyone was injured.

We’ll bring you more information as we get it.
