Charges are pending after approximately 355 grams of powder and crack cocaine were seized from a home in Fort Resolution.
RCMP executed a search warrant in the community early Wednesday morning, confiscating drugs and nearly $10,000 cash in the process.
Police say the search was part of an extensive drug investigation, which is still ongoing.
“This drug seizure is an example of how the effort of a smaller detachment can be a big success, and highlights the prevalence of illicit drugs even in our smaller communities,” said RCMP Sgt. Dean Riou in a statement.
As a result of the investigation, charges are pending against a man from Grande Prairie, Alta. for possession for the purpose of trafficking.
A woman from Fort Resolution is also facing charges of possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
