Man and woman reported missing in Yellowknife found safe

RCMP say two people reported missing in Yellowknife were found safe on Monday afternoon.

Kimberly Sarasin, 42, and David Lafferty, 45, were reported missing by family on Saturday.

Prior to Monday afternoon, they were last seen at the Centre Square Mall on Saturday but their families hadn’t heard from them since last Tuesday.

In a news release, police thanked the public and media for their assistance.

Scientists predict colder temperatures in south, warmer temps North

Climate change scientists say water levels remain low across the territory and predict above average precipitation expected in the coming months. Environment researchers anticipate that southern regions will see colder than average temperatures, while northern parts of the territory will experience the opposite effect.
