Early bird tickets for this year’s Folk on the Rocks music festival are available for purchase.
Yellowknife’s annual summer festival will celebrate 36 years when it takes over the shores of Long Lake between July 15-17.
This year, early bird single day passes cost $65 for adults and $45 for youth and seniors. Weekend passes cost $110 for adults and $60 for youth and seniors.
Festival organizers are expected to announce this year’s music lineup in the coming weeks.

Last November, Folk on the Rocks president Ryan Fequet projected a ‘conservative budget‘ for the 2016 festival, admitting it’s been a couple years since the festival posted a surplus.
“What we want to ensure is that this festival continues because it’s such an important part of the fabric of the community,” he said at the time.
“There is a very conservative budget for the upcoming year to ensure that we can get back to a break-even moving forward and still deliver a great festival.”
Fequet says organizers will be trimming the fat wherever possible this year, but that festival goers can still expect a great experience.
