RCMP have laid further charges against a Fort Resolution man for accessing child pornography.
Joseph King, 49, was initially charged with possession of child pornography, distributing child pornography and obstruction on September 26, 2013.
His arrest followed the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Fort Resolution a year earlier – on October 9, 2012.
During that search, police say several digital media storage devices were seized and that a forensic analysis of the content met the definition of child pornography.
On February 23, 3015, King was arrested a second time in Fort Resolution – this time for breaching court imposed conditions.
That arrest followed the execution of another search warrant, which once again resulted in the seizure of digital media that police defined as child pornography.
On Thursday, police announced further charges of accessing child pornography and breaching court imposed conditions against King.
He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to make a court appearance on December 18.
His arrests are the result of Operation Snapshot, a national police investigation into the distribution of child pornography.
