Car strikes downtown Yellowknife store Bijou Boutique

Yellowknife store Bijou Boutique was hit by a car late on Wednesday afternoon.

The store had a window smashed in the incident.

Initial reports from the scene suggested there were no serious injuries, though that has yet to be confirmed by officials.

The store, which sells homewares and cosmetics, will reopen at noon on Thursday with the window boarded up.

“Please excuse the mess,” added the boutique’s owners in a message on Facebook.
