On Sunday, July 21, 2024, the Yellowknife Fire Division received a call about a vehicle fire behind an empty house on 48th Street. When they arrived, they found a sport utility vehicle (SUV) on fire next to another vehicle parked behind a shed.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire, stopping it from spreading to the shed and the nearby vehicle. No one was hurt, and no other property damage was reported at that time.
