Yellowknife Fire Department Respond to Fuel Truck Fire

On Friday, December 22, at 9:20 a.m., the Yellowknife Fire Division (YKFD) received a call for service for a fuel truck fire at the refueling station located at 124 Bristol Avenue. When crews arrived on scene, smoke and flames were visible on and around the fuel truck.

The YKFD used a hose line to contain the fire to the fuel truck. With the assistance from the Airport Fire Department who arrived on scene, the fire was quickly extinguished. There were no injuries reported and the fire was confined to the truck and the loading island.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
